Set Up Care

If you're ready to dive in and experience a unique and joy-filled approach to therapy, I would love to support you on your wellness journey. To get started, review the steps and FAQ, book a consultation or submit additional questions. If it feels like a great fit, we'll book your first expressive arts therapy session by the end of our consult call.

Follow These Steps

  • Who do you work with?
I specialize in supporting women navigating life transitions like career change, identity development, menopause, and bereavement. I also specialize in supporting individuals and couples 18 and up across the LGBTQ+ spectrum. My clients are often artists, entrepreneurs, caregivers or healers.
  • When are sessions available?
I see clients in person and online Monday-Thursday 10-5 (last session at 4pm). If you have specific needs regarding scheduling, make sure to discuss this during our consultation.
  • Which clients are you an ideal match for?
I'm an ideal match for clients seeking an emotionally and verbally expressive therapist who is warm and empathetic. My clients are ready to commit to weekly sessions and comfortable with trying non-traditional approaches to care (breath-work, creative activities). Wherever you are on your journey with mental health, I will empower you with creative guidance, motivating you to activate your intuition and pursue joyful growth.
  • Who are you not an ideal match for?
I'm a not an ideal match for clients who are under 18, are seeking behavioral intervention, solutions oriented care or short-term counseling. I am also not a crisis counselor and thus not a fit for clients who have active suicidal ideation, are in recovery from substance use, completing eating disorder treatment, or are experiencing domestic violence.
  • What are your hourly rates?
Intake Assessment for All New Clients- $225 Weekly Therapy Session- $150-200 Insurance copays and deductibles depend on your plan.
  • Do you accept insurance?
I am in network with Premera, Lifewise and Regence. I provide superbills for clients seeking reimbursement through Out of Network benefits. If navigating insurance is a burden that would prevent you from seeking care, I'm able to courtesy file out of network claims on your behalf.
  • Do you have a sliding scale?
Yes! The fee options are $150-$200. I offer a sliding scale for clients who aren't able to use insurance benefits or HSA/FSA benefits. Please review this fee guide to determine the tier that's right for you.
  • What are couples therapy rates?
Couples therapy rates are $175-225 for weekly sessions. Most insurance companies do not cover couples work, however you can often use HSA/FSA benefits instead. To learn more about using my sliding scale please review this fee setting guide to determine the fee that's right for you.
  • Do I have to be an artist to do Expressive Arts Therapy?
Absolutely not! This therapeutic approach is open to people of any skill level. In fact, clients who are masters in their craft are often more challenged by the loose structure of expressive arts therapy than those more new to creative expression.
  • How is using the arts in therapy useful?
Think of it this way, rather than one tool in your tool belt (language), we have dozens (images, color, sensations, movement, sound, etc.) Non-verbal techniques of expressive arts therapy and somatic work are used in conjunction with traditional talk therapy to successfully overcome areas where you might feel "stuck" or "blocked". Learn more here.
  • What does a session actually look like?
At your first appointment we discuss your comfort level with different creative formats and pick at least 1-2 to use in session as a compliment to talk therapy. An example session: Begin with a 15-20 minute traditional therapy check in. We then move into using an art form for exploration to process whatever feels relevant for 20-30 minutes. Finally, we close with 10 minutes of insight building and reflection.
  • What if I don't want to do creative activities?
I don't ask clients to do anything they are uncomfortable with and always empower folks to say "no thanks" or "that's not my thing". However, if you do not have interest in using the arts on a regular basis, I'm not the best therapist for you!
Using Insurance Benefits

If you have and insurance plan I am not paneled with, I can support you in seeking reimbursement through "Out of Network benefits" by providing a superbill. I can also submit claims on your behalf when navigating insurance is a burden that prevents you from seeking care.
